ABOUT US

Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now in the presence of God, angels and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expense of the church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drink as a beverage; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.

We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word.

DECLARATION OF FAITH

Who are we? We are a Bible believing, Bible teaching church who stand on the promises of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

On what authority do we claim these promises? Romans 5:8 tells us, "While we were yet sinners, Christ Died for us.

From Romans 3:23 why did He do that? Because we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 tells us "the wages of sin is death".

But the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

What is the promise of Romans 10:13? "For whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".

Romans 10:19 "that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved".

How do we know that our promises are for us? John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever shall believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life".

Therefore, Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, It is a gift from God not by work lest any man should boast.

OUR VISION

At Christ Ministries we are and will always be a Bible believing, Bible teaching, Spirit filled church that stands on the promises of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior (2 Corinthians 1:20).

We will serve the will of God our Father and at every opportunity (Ephesians 6:6-7) confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son (John 3:16) who God raised from the dead  by which we are saved (1 Peter 1:3) and whoever believe on Him will not perish and have everlasting life (Romans 10:9-10). It is by His grace that we are saved and not by our works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We will continue to reach out to our community in ways that best suit the needs of each individual that we come in contact with, provide fellowship and pray without ceasing for our country and its leadership all without respect of person (Romans 2:11).
